Join us at the STEM Starts Here event presented by the City of Waterloo Museum and Conestoga Mall.

This free, one-day-only drop-in event brings science, math, and technology to life. Tied to the museum's exhibition Iron Willed: Women in STEM, STEM Starts Here showcases the incredible innovation happening right in our backyard while inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers.

Bring the whole family out to enjoy hands-on activities led by world-class local experts, including:

• Robotics & Tech: Guide a Mars rover with Waterloo Engineering Outreach and control a maze-solving robot using hand gestures with Waterloo RoboHub.

• Mind-Bending Math: Tackle signature puzzles with the UWaterloo Women in Mathematics Committee and the CEMC.

• Cosmic & Quantum Science: Explore atoms and light with the Institute for Quantum Computing and dive into the universe with the Perimeter Institute.

• Wildlife & Health: Take a giraffe quiz to win a 3D-printed keychain with the Anne Innis Dagg Foundation, and explore the human heart with Wilfrid Laurier University.
